From 1999-2017, almost 400,000 people died from an overdose involving opioid drugs, including prescription and illicit opioids.
Why do we have an Opioid Crisis? It is because our Federal Government, Deep State, and Congress (Democrates and Republicans) permit the Drug Cartels to continue selling Opioid drugs to Americans. We know about these organizations Los Zetas, the Sinaloa Cartel, the Gulf Cartel, the Juarez Cartel, the Beltran Leyva-Organization, and Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion are responsible for the deaths and misery caused by Drug Abuse. We know who they are and where they live. Why don’t we declare them terrorists and use our military to take them out? It is because the Deep State and Congress are making money and or afraid of them?
Drugs have destroyed the self-esteem of many Americans caused by the constant pain of losing their jobs, families, and self-respect. Members of Congress took away the American Workers Self-Respect for money and devise laws to continue their addiction; so, they will not wake up to see what happen to them. Who among us has been spared the agony of witnessing the self-destruction of a loved one by the Opioid Crises?
The hard cold facts: 666,441 are the total amount of combat deaths in all the US wars compared to more than a million US Citizens OD deaths since 1900. It is estimated that 500,000 people will die because of Opioids in the next decade; that will come out to 5 million deaths before the end of the 21st century and Congress knows it. The Deep State has been promoting the Opioid Epidemic passing “The Effective Drug Enforcement Act of 2016 (EPAEDEA)” making billions for their clients by facilitating the sale of Drugs.
Congress has passed the EPAEDEA which is a bill that systematically harasses the DEA from slowing down the Opioid Epidemic. Political action committees have contributed at least $ 1.5 Million to the 23 lawmakers who sponsored or co-sponsored four versions of the EEPAEDEA. The Sponsor of The Bill Rep Tom Marino has received $ 100,000, and his co-sponsor Rep Marsh Blackburn (D-TN) received $ 150,000. On the Senate side Senator, Hatch (R-UT) has received $ 177,000. It is obvious these legislators have been paid off. The administration and Congress are repealing EEPAEDEA and had Rep Tom Marino removed for consideration as Drug Czar. Senator Claire McCaskill D-MO introduced a bill to repeal the EEPAEDEA. The bill was sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee for review on October 16, 2017. Do the math whatever the day you read this article count the day from October 16. 2017 200 a day are dying because of the Opioid Epidemic. While the bill is being considered for repeal people continue to die, and the Drug Companies will continue to make profits off their deaths. Good News, maybe? Recently, a $26 billion national settlement paid by the Drug Companies was the result of two years of legal wrangling in the wake of more than 3,000 lawsuits. States, municipalities, and tribes blamed the pharmaceutical industry for its contribution to an epidemic of prescription and street opioid abuse that has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans over two decades. If enough states and municipalities approve and sign onto the extensive national deal, money will be released to help communities pay for addiction prevention and treatment services to mitigate the harm caused by the crisis. However this money will be put into the general treasury of the Federal, State, and Local governments to be looted by our corrupt politicians at their leisure. Not a penny will be given to the victims of the Opioid Crisis. We need a new congress to change the laws that will protect us from drug abuse. We need term limitations, public financing of elections, and laws that prohibit federal employees from getting jobs for more money to hamper the work of the agencies they use to work for.
